There’s a New CreatorSpace in Town!

What’s it all about?

It’s like a gym ... for your mind!

The Loveland CreatorSpace is a non-profit, members funded and operated, cooperative “makerspace” for engineers, artists, musicians and tinkerers of all sorts to come together and … CREATE!

Like a traditional “hackerspace”, the primary objective of LCS is to provide a community-driven work shop that offers its members access to tools, machinery and classes to help promote creative engineering in Loveland and Northern Colorado. A comprehensive collection of tools combined with an assortment of community-owned light-manufacturing equipment will provide engineers, artists and musicians with the resources they would need to complete almost any project.

Mudworks Ceramics- Carolyn Pearce

I have always loved doing things with my hands – things that I could touch. During the summer of 1997, I started taking pottery classes and quickly discovered that making pots brought a calmness and excitement to my life like no other artistic medium. My husband built a kick wheel for me for Christmas in 1997 and, shortly thereafter, I bought a used kiln. I now have a digital kiln that is twice as big as my first kiln and a pottery studio. After retiring in June of 2003, I started making pots just about full time and joined the Thompson Valley Art League.

Sharon Lazarowicz

Join me as we witness and experience
the dance of light on the leaves of a tree in the breeze,
the bubbling laughter and the sparkle of a stream,
the solemn sigh on the mist of a foggy morning,
the whisper of a lullaby as the petals of a flower unfold,
the mountains majestic symphony of life as it is cast before you,
the medley of a frolicking doe and fawn as they bound across your path,
the crackles of the wave's luminescent crest spilling over and pounding to the shore,
the loud chord that pounds in your heart when the sunlight strikes upon the canyon wall,
the clamor and buzz of the bustling city as it charges on through the night.
This is the orchestra of light and darkness that unveils itself in the song of everyday life.

I believe that art provides inspiration to the human spirit, a sense of being and solace.

                                                                                                                ~Sharon Lazarowicz

I love to paint the landscape and my surroundings just like many artists before me.  It is just an undeniable need to express my feelings and joy when I look around, and how I see and interpret my surroundings. Painting is something I can't 'not' do. I can only hope to share with you the beauty I see in the grandeur of nature and as well as its profound simplicity.

 Night on the Town

Friday, Aug 10, 2018 5 pm-9 pm

Night on the Town is Downtown Loveland’s “night out” with many art galleries and businesses offering a ready welcome from 5 pm to 9 pm. There's plenty of fine and casual dining, craft beer tasting rooms and retail shops to enjoy. You’ll find snacks, live music and sales in multiple locations, all part of an inviting atmosphere and hearty welcome from downtown businesses. It’s an opportunity to spend an evening with friends in our downtown.

During our "Summer Version" there are street performers, live musicians, something on every corner.

“People of Loveland”

Meet Jenny

“Who gets to hang out with awesome election judges, document lovely Lovelanders driving through to drop their ballots off and exercise their voting rights, seeing many new faces and some of my favorite people as well? I do!

I'm the lucky one that gets to document all of the amazing things that people do in this community everyday for the Loveland Reporter-Herald through my lens. I can tell you from experience that Loveland is truly filled with love.

Am I a celebrity?

You're right about the rest though.

It's truly a gift to be able to embed myself into people's lives. In their best moments or their worst, I'm there. Sometimes they love me for it and sometimes they're not very happy to see me. If they knew me, they would realize I'm shooting with my heart and I feel their joy and their pain. My mission is to make my own little positive difference in people's lives. Whether that's filling readers hearts with joy when they see a joyful photo or causing someone to want to make a difference because they see others doing the same, or evoking empathy and love from a photo of a tragedy- I hope to make a difference, even if just for a moment.
